The Seven Deadly Sins Tag

description

Last Friday, Lola of Hit or Miss Books tagged me into this tag. I've been intending to publish my post during the weekend, unfortunately, my offline work demanded too much time. Anyways, here I am and I'll answer all these seven deadly questions.

Game On!
Greed:
1. What is your most unexpensive book?
That would be John Green's Looking for Alaska. I got this book as a prize of the 2013 July Challenge from Read Philippines. (Waves to Laila who sponsored the Challenge)

Wrath
2. What author do you have a love/hate relationship with?
That would be John Green. No offense to all the nerdfighters who never forget to be awesome but John Green and I are having an on-off relationship. Lolz. I love The Fault in the Stars. It reminded me of Nicholas Spark's A Walk to Remember. But then I read Looking for Alaska and I fell out love for him. This guy doesn't know what Happy Endings mean and I was literally lost in the labyrinth of suffering while reading LFA and he seem to love writing anything that includes Death

Gluttony
               3. What book have you devoured over and over again with no shame?
Rainbow Rowell's Attachments got me tied up with it ever since I read it last July. I haven't posted my review about it yet since I am out of words to express how I totally superlove (Am I being redundant? Totally + Super? Yes, I am!) that book. It's the top achiever of my top 10 favorite reads this year and I always scan through pages over and over again, reading them just anytime I feel like to.
Sloth
4. Which book have you neglected reading due to laziness?
Michael Scotts's The Alchemist series certainly belongs here. I started reading this series late 2012 and until now I haven't moved from Book Three's 3rd Chapter. Don't get me wrong but his book is very captivating. Myths, Gods, Godesses and superpowers all mixed into one. I have four books out of the six books. I wonder when I'll be able to stop being lazy and just read them all.
                                                       Pride
          5. What books do you most talk about in order to sound like an intellectual reader?
Well, the classics never fail to make anyone sound like an intellectual reader. Pride and Prejudice is one of the classics I've read that I so much love. I love Bennet and Darcy's battle of wits.

Lust
6. What attributes do you find attractive in a male or female character?
This is intense. It's like being asked what is you're ideal boyfriend or girlfriend or both. Oooppss.. Ha-ha. Anyway. For female characters, I'm always into someone who is funny, brave and with firm beliefs like Katniss Everdeen of Hunger Games (Well, she's not the "cheerful" funny but I find her seriousness funny sometimes.. Weird? I know) For male characters, well, there's Etienne St. Claire of Anna and the French Kiss who is smart, charming and has amazing sense of humor.

Envy
7. What book would you most like to receive as a gift?

I've been wishing for this since last year. Sadly, my office mates don't seem to feel how much I'd love them if they just made my Christmas Wishlist come true. I certainly would like to have surrounded by George Martin's Game of Thrones series.

  1. Vee, this is such a great post!

I have to agree with you, I have a love-hate relationship with John Green, too. Actually, more of the hate. Hahaha! His books usually depress me or confuse me! And of course, we have to mention Etienne, right? ;)

I don't know if it'll make you feel better (probably not) but I gave a Game of Thrones box set to my boyfriend just last month. :)

  2. I love it! :D John Green's TFiOS reminded you of A Walk to Remember? Really? I guess I'd love that book then since TFiOS is one of my favorite read this year and I really like Nicholas Sparks as an author. Have you read The Last Song? Or Dear John? Dear John is my favorite but it's not a quite easy read. Pride & Prejudice ALL THE WAY. It's my favorite classic but close behind is Little Women. SUCH a great family themed story. Thank you for doing the tag, Ima. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Oh, and I hope you get Game of Thones. I keep meaning on buying it but it's like I feel I won't read it soon anyway so...I don't know. Maybe at Christmas.

    1. Sadly, A Walk to Remember is the only Nicholas Sparks I've read. All of his other works became known to me because I watched the movies (Dear John, The Vow, The Notebook, The Last Song). Ahh.. I haven't read Little Women but I used to watched the animated series when I was in grade school (oopps...a long long time ago). I hope someone will give the GOT bookset. I'll definitely treat him/her to a nice foodtrip. ha-ha:)

    1. Yeah! Compared to John Green, Martin indeed kills a lot of good characters. Actually, I hated him when Ned Stark was beheaded and hated him more when Rob died but since Jon, Arya and Bran are still alive, I'm going to be more patient and forgiving.. haha... oh and there's my crush Daenarys(who my brother totally loved, he named his newborn daughter Daenarys) and the ever full of wisdom Tyrion and my warrior Brienne. :)
